James thrives off complex technical challenges. “I enjoy jumping in at the deep end, where I get a buzz from finding and delivering effective business solutions though technology”.

He joined Hamiltons in May 2001 after a career in Architectural practices managing various sized computer networks. “After 3 years driving the technology behind the 50 strong practice at Anshen Dyer, I saw a great new challenges ahead at Hamiltons”.

The biggest challenge for James is in breaking down the barriers between the users and the huge potential benefits of technology. “Where we have control, the focus is on building a friendly and intuitive interface for users to engage. Where we don’t have control we focus on effective training.”

James was a qualified architectural technician before moving into computing technology and qualifying as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

James was made an Associate in November 2005, and runs the central IT team, providing specialist support to project teams.
